Patna: Amid various scams in the UGC NET examination, the CBI officials who went to investigate the matter were beaten and kicked by the people present in Bihar.
The scams in the NEET exam conducted on the 5th of last month came to light and shocked the nation. Now it has come to light that NEET question papers were sold for lakhs and marks were paid. Many people have been arrested in connection with this and students involved in fraud are being disqualified. A CBI inquiry has also been ordered in this regard.
While the earthquake of NEET is yet to subside, the UGC NET examination was held recently for the posts of assistant professors in colleges and universities. However, the examination was canceled the next day as there were complaints of various irregularities in the examination. Following this, the central government had directed the CBI to investigate the NET exam scam.
Following this, CBI officials are going to various states and investigating various scams in the NET examination. Meanwhile, Bihar and its capital, Patna, are the major areas of NET exam fraud.
Accordingly, CBI officials today went to Nawada village in Bihar to interrogate some NET candidates. Knowing this, hundreds of villagers gathered there. They chanted that CBI officials should not enter the town. Despite that, the CBI officials tried to enter and the people there attacked the CBI officials.
On being informed about this, the police came there and took away the CBI officers from the villagers. This incident has created a lot of excitement there.
