VI : Telecom companies are now announcing successive increases in their service charges. In this, Jio, which is the leader in telecom services in India, announced yesterday that it has increased the price of its recharge plans.
Geo:
Jio has announced a hike in its prepaid and postpaid recharge rates from 12 percent to 27 percent. The hike will be effective from July, it said.
Airtel :
Similarly, Airtel has also announced a hike in its prepaid and postpaid tariffs from 11 percent to 21 percent. The fare hike will be effective from July 3, it said.
Vodafone (VI) :
Similarly, Vodafone and Idea’s VI have also announced price hikes. It has also announced that it will focus on 5G telecom services in subsequent quarters. It has announced that the price hike will be effective from July 4.
Some New Fee Details :
The most significant of the new price hikes are the 28-day recharge plan from Rs 179 to Rs 199, the 84-day recharge from Rs 459 to Rs 509 and the 365-day recharge from Rs 1,799 to Rs 1,999.
Also, the charges for providing 1 GB additional data per day have been increased from Rs 19 to Rs 22 and the additional data charge for 6 GB for 3 days has been increased from Rs 39 to Rs 48. Similarly the results of other plans have been significantly boosted and announced on VI official site page.
