The death of 65 people after drinking poisonous alcohol mixed with methanol in Kallakurichi Karunapuram shocked the entire country beyond Tamil Nadu. Ramadas, Anbumani Ramadas, DMK MLAs Udayasuriyan and Vasantham Karthikeyan, who issued a statement, accused them of being involved in the bootleg liquor case. Denying this, Udayasuriyan and Vasantham Karthikeyan alleged that they are trying to tarnish their reputation by putting false blame on them.
DMK MLAs have sent a notice to Ramdas and Anbumani in this regard. In it, within 24 hours of receiving this notice, the daily should issue an unconditional apology through social media and insist that a compensation of Rs 1 crore each be paid to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
In this situation DMK MLAs Udayasuriyan and Vasantham Karthikeyan have been sent a reply notice by BAMA founder Ramadoss and BAMA president Anbumani. It said, “There is no defamation in the comments made based on the incident regarding the fraud case. We expressed our opinion with the aim of reflecting social problems.
He added, “We do not express our views with any malice. This notice sent against us who are raising voice for the welfare and progress of the people of Tamil Nadu should be withdrawn. In addition, they have insisted that an unconditional apology should also be demanded.
