Again Captain Prabhakaran directed by RK Selvamani Vijayakanth. This film is Vijayakanth’s 100th film. Captain Prabhakaran gave the greatest victory then.
Generally, the 100th film in Tamil cinema is not a hit film for great actors. But only for Vijayakanth, the film Captain Prabhakaran became a great hit.
Story behind the song:
But there won’t be many songs in Investigation film or Captain Prabhakaran film. RK Selvamani spoke about this in an interview. When he said that Ilayaraja got angry with me for this.
When Captain Prabhakaran went to compose music for the film, he angrily said that if it is a film that does not have many songs, don’t come to me to compose music. Also, when talking about the Attama Therottama song in the film, I told Ilayaraja that the song should be to the extent that Veerappan should be brought out in the story of the film, just like the Megaboopa song in Sholay.
Otherwise, I did not work on the lyrics of that film or anything else, I told Ilayaraja that I wanted only one such song. But RK Selvamani had said that Ilayaraja composed a song suitable for the place. RK Selvamani had created the villain character in the movie Captain Prabhakaran based on the problems that happened with Veerappan.
