Odisha: A ballistic missile with a range of 5000 km was successfully tested yesterday in Chandipur, Odisha.
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praised the successful completion of the 2nd phase of Ballistic Missile test in Odisha yesterday (July 24). He congratulated DRDO for this successful missile test. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the test has once again proved our ballistic missile defense capability.
The ballistic missile with a range of 5000 km was test-fired yesterday (July 24) by LC-IV from Chandipur, Odisha at 4.20 pm.
The missile is indigenously manufactured. The Ministry of Defense has described the ballistic missile as a complete network-centric warfare weapon with long-range sensors, a communication system capable of short-term communication, and the ability to intercept and attack other missiles. The Defense Ministry also said that this missile can be deployed on land and water and attack targets.
