In other districts except Chennai, every month in each circle, the program camp is being conducted under the leadership of the District Collector ‘Looking for you and your town’. Accordingly, under the leadership of the District Collector and officers, from 9:00 am to 9:00 am the next day, stay in the specific circle and study the government services, programs and activities.
Based on the feedback received from the study, the District Collectors are taking action to provide improved services to the people, expand the programs, meet the people directly and listen to their grievances.
In this regard, the “Umhuthira Naa Uriil” camp was started on Sep-18 in Tiruvallur District, Aavadi Circle, under the leadership of Collector Prabhu Shankar.
Accordingly, construction of a new pond under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and construction of two classrooms under the Child Neyapalli Infrastructure Scheme in Lakshampatti Nagar, Kosavanpalayam, Tiruvallur District. Collector Prabhu Shankar inspected the Government Primary Health Center at Thiruninnavur, Anganwadi Center at Nadukuthagai, construction of a new library at Balaved, Tamil Nadu Consumer Goods Trading Corporation and the procurement centre.
Further, Pattapiram LC, 2 Railway Crossings connecting Tiruvallur District and Chennai, Rs. 52.11 crore, the Collector inspected the flyover which was being built for the last 6 years.
He then told the press.
On Pattabram flyover, except for a small section, all other works have been completed. People are demanding that the flyover should be opened soon. Accordingly, the coming Sep. On the 25th, steps are being taken to open a passageway. After the flyover is operational, the railway gate will be closed and the remaining works will be completed within six months, he said.
Collector Prabhu Shankar also said that shortage of doctors and nurses in Avadi Government Hospital will be brought to the attention of the government soon and solved.
