Delhi: As the results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced tomorrow (June 4), the Chief Electoral Officer of India Rajiv Kumar held a press conference today. In it, he gave an explanation about the Election Commission’s explanation of various doubts related to the election proceedings. Rajeev Kumar had also commented against the allegations made by Congress spokesperson Jayaram Ramesh.
Earlier, Congress spokesperson Jayaram Ramesh criticized Union Minister Amit Shah on his social media account and made an allegation that he was violating election norms by consulting 150 district collectors.
The Election Commissioner completely denied this, saying this is not correct. They spread a rumor and make everyone suspicious. All their accusers are District Collectors. If so they are all Chief Electoral Officers of their respective Districts. Can a person who is a candidate exercise authority over a District Returning Officer? You should be clear about who did it. Chief Electoral Officer Rajeev Kumar said that we will take appropriate action.
