A 03-year-old girl died tragically in a landslide. This incident took place yesterday (04) in Mawanallai Mangalagama area.
The little girl who was playing in the trench cut to build the wall died.
The incident took place when the trench was covered by a landslide. The wall was to be erected to prevent danger from the unsafe earth at the back of the house. The girl is playing in the trench cut for this purpose.
The girl was rescued by family members and local residents and was admitted to the hospital where she died.
