The Department of Statistics has reported that 38,088 dengue patients have been reported from January 1st to 16th this year.
Out of that 24.8 percent patients i.e. 9451 patients were reported in Colombo district. 4381 patients have been identified in Gampaha district, 2097 patients in Kalutara district and 15929 patients in Western Province. This is 41.8 percent of the total number of patients.
3895 patients have been reported in Central Province. This is 10.2 percent of the total patients. 2521 cases have been reported in North West Province. It is 6.6 percent.
4738 cases were reported in Northern Province, 2834 cases in Southern Province and 3875 cases in Sabaragamuwa Province.
1446 patients in this month, 3897 in last month, 4506 in July, 2647 in May, 2234 in April, 3615 in March, 6007 in February and 10417 in January. And 17 people have died due to dengue in the last year.
