Kanyakumari is a hot spot due to this low pressure area. It will also rain in Chennai,” he said.
In Tamil Nadu, due to the presence of upper atmospheric circulation in the inner districts of South Tamil Nadu and adjoining areas, heavy rainfall is currently occurring in the southern districts and Coimbatore and its surrounding areas. While it has been reported that this rain will continue till 24th, it is expected that the rain will continue in Tamil Nadu for the next week due to this new depression that has formed in the Bay of Bengal.
