Chennai : A fire broke out at the Income Tax office in Delhi.
A fire broke out in the CR building of the Income Tax Department office located in the IP Estate area of Delhi today at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The fire department and the police were immediately informed.
At first around 10 fire tenders reached the spot and tried to douse the fire. After that when it was learned that the fire on the 4th floor was spreading to other places through the AC, 11 more fire tenders were called to the spot and a total of 21 fire tenders were engaged in efforts to douse the fire.
In the meantime, firefighters safely evacuated the employees inside the office through a window. At present, efforts are being made to extinguish and cool down the fire, and they are investigating how the fire happened. It is reported that only the documents were damaged in the accident and no one was injured.
