A young woman found dead in a dilapidated well; Suspect arrested

– 6 people including boyfriend’s family, JCB driver arrested

The main suspect, the boyfriend of Yuvathi from Thangapuram village, who was found murdered in a dilapidated well in Klivetti village under Muthur police division, was arrested by the Muthur police yesterday (8) and when he was produced in the Muthur court yesterday (8) he was ordered to be remanded in police custody till today (9).

Last Friday (05) 6 suspects were arrested on suspicion of the massacre incident and when they were produced before the Mudur Magistrate last Saturday, the remand was ordered to be extended till the 19th. Meanwhile, the main suspect, the murdered Yuvati’s boyfriend, has been arrested by Muthur police yesterday (07).

So far, seven people have been arrested, including the boyfriend of the girl, her father, her sister who worked at her house, and the driver of the JCB vehicle. A 25-year-old girl named Nateskumar Vinothini from Thanganagar village under Cheruvila police division had gone missing and her dead body was found tied to a stone in a dilapidated well. A handbag containing his documents and a broken helmet were also recovered.

It was reported that the body was subjected to post-mortem and the head was hit and the skull was fractured and there was a massive hole in the back of the head.

The police, who conducted investigations in this regard, recovered some evidence including an iron pipe suspected to have been used in the attack from the boyfriend’s house.
