After the completion of the tenure of Anna University Vice-Chancellor Velraj, an Administrative Coordination Committee has been constituted to lead the University.
Velraj’s tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai has ended today. Following this, information has come out that a coordination committee has been formed under the leadership of Higher Education Secretary Pradeep Yadav to lead Anna University. Director of Technical Education Commissioner Abraham and Professor Usha of Anna University are included in this coordinating committee.
In Tamil Nadu, Vice-Chancellors have not been appointed in 4 universities namely Chennai University, Madurai Kamaraj University, Coimbatore Bharatiyar University and Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University. In this situation, the Vice-Chancellor vacancies in the universities have increased to 5 due to the retirement of the Vice-Chancellor of Anna University.
