After the High Court declared that the removal of party membership was correct, I.M.C. MPs Harin Penando and Manusha Nanayakkara presided over a press conference held today (09) at Voter’s Edge Hotel in Bhattaramulla. Former minister Manusha Nanayakkara said this while commenting on the occasion.
He further stated,
We have joined hands with President Ranil’s government, which fearlessly and far-sightedly took up the challenges, to save people’s lives.
We have been able to build the country from where it fell in two years. Harin brought dollars to the country through tourism. I was able to bring in 12 billion US dollars through migrant workers from abroad.
This is why we have been able to continuously supply fuel, gas, medicine and electricity to the people. Due to this, the country was able to build industries and strengthen the economy.
Today we fulfill the responsibility we assumed then and go out fearlessly. Our two years of hard service will be written in our history. The former minister added that he would inform the voters of United People’s Shakti Party who voted for me.
