Air ticket fares in Chennai have increased manifold

Air ticket fares in Chennai have gone up manifold due to the Independence Day holiday.

Due to the Independence Day celebrations and Saturday and Sunday holidays, people living outside Chennai are interested in flying to their hometowns. As a result, the number of passengers on flights from Chennai Domestic Airport to Thoothukudi, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Salem is increasing.

Due to this, the air ticket prices have also increased many times. Chennai-Tuticorin flight fare has increased from Rs.4,301 to Rs.10,796. Similarly, Chennai-Madurai fare has increased from Rs.4,063 to Rs.11,716.

Also, Chennai-Trichy fare has been increased from Rs.2,382 to Rs.7,192 and Chennai-Coimbatore fare from Rs.3,369 to Rs.5,349. Similarly, the Chennai-Salem flight fare has been increased from Rs.2,715 to Rs.8,277. Meanwhile, the flight fares to other states like Delhi and Mumbai have not gone up.
