Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the full budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha today (July 23). With this, Nirmala Sitharaman has become the first person to present the budget for the 7th consecutive time.
Nirmala Sitharaman, who was addressing this budget presentation, made many important announcements. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced in the budget that Rs 1.52 lakh crore has been allocated to the agriculture sector as a major announcement in the current financial year, while Rs 1.26 crore was announced for the agriculture sector in the last financial year.
In this financial year, the 2024-25 budget has increased by 0.27% percent to Rs 1.52 lakh crore. Through this, over 1 crore farmers will be trained in organic farming in the next 2 years. Similarly, it has been informed that the agriculture sector will be digitized and the survey related to vegetable products will be taken digitally.
Similarly, he said that 152 types of crops will be introduced across the country in such a way that they will not be affected by climate change and that the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan scheme, which provides free food, will be extended for another 5 years. Apart from that, it has also been announced that the scheme of providing ‘Kisan Credit Cards’ will be implemented in 5 states.
