The Indian hockey team, who returned home after winning the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics, were given a warm welcome in Delhi.
The Indian team led by Harmanprit Singh won the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics hockey tournament. It was the second time in a row that it won a medal in the Olympic Games and set a record. In this case, the medal-winning Indian hockey team arrived in Delhi in a special flight. Thousands of fans gathered at the Delhi airport to give the players an enthusiastic welcome. Following this, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia personally met the Indian team players and congratulated them. A jersey signed by the players was then presented to the minister. Later, Indian team players paid floral tributes to his statue at the Major Dayan Chand Memorial in Delhi. Also, they took a photo in front of his statue.
