Annamalai Says Yes Mistake Made in This Year NEET Exam

The NEET entrance exam for medical courses is being conducted across the country since 2017. However, there has been opposition in Tamil Nadu from the very beginning as the NEET examination prevents government school and rural students from enrolling in medical courses.

At the same time, it is being said by the BJP that qualified doctors will be produced only through NEET examination. Even during the election campaign, Annamalai said that we will not cancel the NEET exam even if it cost us our lives.

In the NEET exam that was held this year, there were allegations of various irregularities including question paper leakage, mercy marks issue, full marks being awarded. The central government initially denied that there were any irregularities and then ordered a CBI investigation.

Speaking to the media in this context, BJP State President Annamalai said, “The National Examination Agency conducted the NEET exam. This year the NEET exam was not conducted properly. If there is a mistake then yes there is a mistake. There is no alternative opinion that the central government is going to take strict action in this regard. They have started the work for that.

There have been many irregularities in group exams conducted by TNPSC in Tamil Nadu. We have not canceled any group exams for that. At the same time, they have changed the NDA leader in the NEET issue. On the other hand, if NEET is required, Tamilnadu definitely requires it. Because this year in Tamil Nadu more than 59 percent have passed the NEET exam.

Why is the Tamil Nadu government refusing to give a white paper that decides not to conduct the NEET exam? What is the problem with the Tamil Nadu government to issue a white paper on the details including how many people studied from government schools and joined government medical colleges before and after the NEET exam?

Why is the Supreme Court refusing to go to the NEET issue? Because they refuse to knock on the Supreme Court’s door to give data. “Knowing that nothing can be done, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin is running a drama in this matter,” he alleged.
