It was a very proud moment for me. I expected to win a silver medal, but I got bronze. I missed the silver medal by a tiny margin. However, he said that it was a pleasure to win bronze for India in the Olympics.
When asked how did you manage both academics and sports, I said that I did not give up both academics and sports. You have to balance your studies and sports. My parents keep track of my academic performance through my mark card. He said that they gave importance to education and sports.
When asked by a student how did you get interested in shooting sports, I got interested in shooting during my school days. He got a chance to make it to the national shooting team right from his school days.
I used to focus on sports including boxing with my physical strength, and I focused more on shooting. That’s my first step, and to the question of who you take as your role model, don’t try to sound like someone else. You have to prove your identity by taking a good part of yourself. Don’t drink coffee looking at someone else. But take someone as inspiration, he replied.

Speaking on the stage among the students, Manu Bakar said that if you work hard, you can achieve big things, and by dreaming big, you can achieve big goals. We must not give up even in failure. Everyone should work together to improve society for women. It must be the duty of every person. We all need to work together to create change in society. He replied that we are on the path of progress.
Also talking about Vinesh, Manu Bhakar said, “He is like an older sister to me, I have a lot of respect for him and he is older than me. I have always seen him as a fighter. He is worthy of overcoming all difficulties. I have also seen him recover. He said that he will continue to progress.
