AR Rakhuman’s “Forgetful Heart” – Order to pay compensation!

ARRahman : The Grievance Commission has ordered to pay Rs 67 thousand to Ashwin Manikandam, who was unable to see AR Rahman’s Bhumduma Nenjam concert, whose ticket amount was not refunded.

Music composer A.R. Rahman’s music concert called Bommuma Nenjam was announced to be held on October 12 last year. Therefore, many people from different districts and other states pre-registered and bought tickets to watch the concert in person. However, due to heavy rain that day, the concert was not held.

Next, on November 8, a grand event was held at Panayur, next to the Chennai East Coast Road. But, it can be said that this concert became a big controversy. Especially the seats are not suitable for the ticket. Therefore, many of the ticket holders did not get seats. Due to this many people returned home without watching the show.

Due to this, ACTC was heavily criticized for not organizing the event. The concert itself became a major controversy. After this, music composer AR Rahman gave refunds to 4000 people who had come to see the show but did not see it.

However, Ashwin Manikandan had lodged a complaint with the Karur District Consumer Grievance Commission against the ACTC company that had organized the Bumduma Nenjam music concert. He said that even though he went with his family to see the concert, they were unable to see the show, ticket amount was Rs.12,000, compensation was Rs.50,000, and traveling expenses were Rs.5,000, totaling Rs.67,000.

In this situation, the Grievance Commission, which heard the case today, has issued an order to pay a total compensation of Rs 67,000 to Ashwin Manikandan along with the ticket amount.
