crowd of people
People flock to cool places like Ooty Kodaikanal for tourism this summer. But it is very crowded due to large number of people gathering there.
A place not to be missed
In this case, people are looking for places where there are no crowds and a little bit of natural beauty. Kokkumalaya in Theni district is one of the places that people should not miss.

Even in Munnar, a region of Kerala bordering Tamil Nadu, the cold weather is currently prevailing in the Kokkumalaya region.
Although this tourist spot is a part of Tamil Nadu, it cannot be directly reached from Tamil Nadu, that is, we can reach this place only through Suryanelli in Kerala. For this we have to go to Suryanelli, which is 12 kilometers from Podi Mat, and then from there we can travel to Kolukkumalai.
Jeep can carry up to six people
There is no doubt that the sunrise will be our main attraction at Kollukku Hill. That means we have to stay at Surya Nellie area and from there take a morning zip to Kolukkumalai. Private vehicles are not allowed here, up to six people are allowed to travel in jeeps organized by the forest department.
Department of Tourism
