50Puttalam Vettalai Asankutdus Muslim Maha Vidyalaya team won the championship title in the under-16 football competition between 24 schools of the eight educational zones of the North-West Province.
The tournament was held last Wednesday (17) at Siyambalagaskoduwa School Ground, Kurunegala.
In the final match, Asankuthoos Vidyalaya won against Wennappuwa Sen Zone School with the score of 4-2. With this the team qualified for the All Sri Lanka tournament.
