Bajaj has launched its new 400cc bike, the Pulsar NS400Z, just a few days ago. In this case, it has been reported that the company is currently testing a new adventure bike model on Indian roads.
With design elements from the Pulsar series of bikes, a new adventure style Bajaj bike has been caught in a spyshot while being tested on Indian roads. Along with the launch of the new 400cc bike, the company is also set to launch a new CNG bike next month, and information about this new adventure bike has also been leaked.
The USD fork suspension setup at the front, a slightly raised fuel tank, an upright riding position and a slightly raised handle bar reveal features for an adventure bike.
The rear seat is slightly raised, indicating a long-travel rear monoshock suspension setup. The split LED tail light at the rear suggests that this bike might also be a part of the Pulsar series.
There is no official information from Bajaj regarding this. Also, the company does not currently sell any bikes in the adventure segment in India. If this too will be a bike with 250cc or more engine, the spy shots don’t say so.
The smaller air-cooled engine and smaller front and rear tires suggest that this new bike may have a 125cc to 150cc engine. I don’t know if Bajaj is thinking of previewing a compact adventure bike before it competes with big names like Royal Enfield and KTM above 350cc. Also, earlier Bajaj also sold bikes under the name AS. It is also said that Bajaj will use the name for the upcoming bikes.
