Apart from unveiling new bikes, Bajaj continues to introduce new Pulsar models. Bajaj’s current formula is an engine already used in other bikes, a design from another bike, and a new bike combined. We even saw this in the latest launch Pulsar 400Z bike.
Now Bajaj is planning to launch a new 125cc Pulsar bike with the same formula. The bike is currently being tested on Indian roads. So what kind of bike is the company making?
Increasing competition in the 125cc bike segment:
Bajaj is currently selling two bikes in the 125cc bike segment namely Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125. Sales of these two bikes are also doing well. But, after the arrival of the Hero Xtreme 125, the 125cc bike segment has heated up a bit.
Hero launched the new Xtreme 125 a few months back with an advanced design that befits the most stylish big bikes. Bajaj’s two 125cc bikes look like slightly older models when compared to this new bike.
This sporty bike in the 125cc segment is launched to appeal to the youth. It is important to keep everything fresh and innovative from the design to the facilities.
Bajaj’s New 125cc Bike:
So Bajaj is developing a new 125cc bike to update their 125cc lineup. Without thinking of a new design to compete with the Hero Xtreme, the company is developing the new bike by fitting the engine of the NS125 bike to the N150 bike they are already selling.
Yes, not sure if anything new can be expected. But it is reported that Bajaj is developing a new bike with a mix of old bikes. Bajaj has also used some parts and design elements from its other bike, the P150. It seems that the company will use the name Pulsar N125 for this new bike.
Bajaj’s New 125cc Bike: Hardware and Engine
Bajaj has also developed a new 125cc bike with the same diamond-type frame as most Pulsar bikes on sale today. Front telescopic suspension and single disc brake, rear monoshock and drum brake.
As mentioned above, it seems that Bajaj will use the same 124.5cc single cylinder engine used in the NS125 bike in the new N125 bike. This engine is capable of producing 11.82hp of power and 11Nm of torque. Along with this, 5 speed gearbox is also going to be given as usual. Although it is the same engine, there is no information about whether there will be a change in the tuning.
Bajaj Pulsar N125: Features and Price
Bajaj is currently updating all their Pulsar bikes with new features. In that respect, it seems that the new N125 bike will also get improved features. It looks like Bajaj will offer a full LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity on the new bike as well.
The Pulsar 125 is currently priced at Rs 90,000 and the Pulsar NS125 is priced at Rs 1 lakh. In this case, Bajaj is expected to launch the new Pulsar N125 bike at a price of Rs.95,000. The launch of this new bike is also expected by the end of July
