Bajaj is planning to launch a new Pulsar in India’s best-selling Pulsar lineup. While the company is selling two bikes in the 125cc segment, the Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar NS125, it has been reported that Bajaj is currently testing a new bike called the Pulsar N125 in India.
Bajaj Pulsar N125:
In the Pulsar N series, Bajaj is selling three Pulsar bikes namely N150, N160 and N250. The new Pulsar N125 model will also join the lineup. In this, it is said that Bajaj has developed the new N125 Pulsar model on the platform of the N150 model. This Pulsar N125 model is expected to be released as a sporty commuter like the TVS Raider and not a commuter or a sport bike.
Pulsar N125 Spyshot:
Bajaj tested the Pulsar N125 model on Indian roads and got caught in a spyshot. Bajaj has used Diamond chassis in this new bike. Also, a telescopic forks suspension setup is used at the front and a mono-shock suspension setup at the rear. Also, the same 17-inch alloy wheels as the Pulsar N150 are used in the N125. The wheels are equipped with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
Bajaj Pulsar N125: Expected Features
While the Pulsar N150 has a projector headlamp, the N125 is expected to sport a multi-reflector LED headlamp. The petrol tank has a sharp extension to give it a sporty look and the rear end is slightly raked. The N125 is expected to have an upright riding position. The foot pegs are set back a little, not as much as on a computer. Also, a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth facility is expected to be offered in this N125 model. But it also seems that there will be no navigation facilities.
Increasing competition in 125cc category:
Bike manufacturers are constantly launching 125cc bikes with a sporty look to appeal to the growing younger generation. First with the Raider 125 model, TVS started the initiative to appeal to the younger generation. Hero then took it to the next level with their new Xtreme 125 model. The Xtreme 125 looked like a very sporty bike with high performance. Now Pulsar is testing the new Pulsar N125 bike with the existing model NS125 to expand their market.
