Tiruchendur Subramaniaswamy Temple
Thiruchendur Subramaniaswamy temple is the second house of the six houses of Murugan. Thousands of devotees from not only Tamil Nadu but also abroad visit this temple every day to have darshan of Swamy.

It is customary to take a holy dip in the sea before doing Sami darshan and then do Sami darshan. The Meteorological Department has informed that the sea will be rough in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and the sea waves may rise to a height of two to four meters.
Bathing in the sea is prohibited by the police
Tens of thousands of devotees flocked to Tiruchendur Murugan Temple as summer vacation was given to schools and it was a weekend. This morning the sea was normal as the devotees were allowed to bathe. Therefore, considering the safety of the devotees, the police have banned bathing in the sea.
