Chennai: The Kelambakkam police officers have arrested the former DGP Rajesh Das on the complaint filed by Billa Venkatesan that he attacked the guard and tried to enter the house.
Former Special DGP Rajesh Das was arrested and jailed for 3 years in the case of sexually harassing a female SP. After that, he went to the Supreme Court and obtained an interim stay on the Madras High Court decision.
Meanwhile, IAS officer Beela Rajesh, who was the wife of Rajesh Das, went to court seeking divorce from her husband. He has also changed his name from Beela Rajesh to Beela Venkatesan (father’s name) in government records and lives alone.
Rajesh Das had filed a case in the Madras High Court that Billa Venkatesan had used his IAS authority to disconnect the electricity connection at his home in Taiyur. During the course of the case, Billa Venkatesan filed a fresh complaint against Rajesh Das.
That is, he (Phila Venkatesan) lodged a complaint at the Kelambakkam police station in Chennai that Rajesh Das had trespassed into the Taiyur farm house where he (Phila Venkatesan) was living and assaulted the watchman. In the name of this complaint, the police arrested Rajesh Das and are interrogating him at the Kelambakkam police station.
