Bomb threat continues in Chennai:
Chennai Chettinadu Vidyashram School received bomb threat again today. The Chennai Central Crime Branch Cyber Crime Police is actively investigating the matter.
A bomb threat has been issued to the Chettinadu Vidyashram School in MRC Nagar, Chennai for the ninth time today. It has come to light that this fake email threat has been sent in the name of Tamil Nadu Police DGP Shankar Jiwal.
Complaint at Police Station:
Following this, the Chennai Central Crime Police is currently investigating the serial email threats. A complaint has been lodged at the police station on behalf of the school management to find out who sent the bomb threat through email.
Central Crime Branch Police Investigation:
Following this, Chennai Central Crime Branch and Pattinpakkam police are investigating. Apart from this, a bomb threat is said to have been sent to a private school in Madipakkam and Mount Army School through email.
Testing at School:
Following this, bomb experts who arrived at the scene are carrying out a search in the school with the help of a sniffer dog, and there is a lot of excitement in the area.
Bomb threats to schools and the airport in Chennai have become a regular occurrence. On July 17, MRC Nagar Chettinadu Vidyashram and Vidya Mandir schools were bombed after the Moopanai unit raided them and found it to be a fake threat.
Earlier on the 8th of February, a mysterious person contacted the police control room of various private schools in Chennai and mentioned the names of the private schools and threatened that they would explode in a short time.
Parents of the students were also texted to take them home, causing panic as panicked parents thronged the schools.
Similarly, it is noteworthy that from time to time, mysterious people have been making bomb threats to the Chennai International Airport.
The public and social activists have demanded that the mysterious people who are making these bomb threats should be identified and punished severely.
