Villupuram | VCK MP Ravi Kumar Villupuram Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), CCTV cameras at the security center have broken down again for the second time. Following this, Villupuram Member of Parliament Ravikumar filed a complaint with the District Collector today.
The petition states as follows:-
M. Thamilarasan, who has been appointed by me for security, told me on the phone that the CCTV cameras were not working due to thunder and lightning at the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) security center set up in Villupuram Arignar Anna Arts College.
After hearing this news, the election officer went to the center and took action and said that the CCTV cameras have been repaired and are now working. I immediately spoke to the Returning Officer and visited the Center in person. Currently, CCTVs are functioning without any hindrance.
On 03.05.2024 also CCTV was not working for about half an hour. Then I met the election officer and gave him the letter. Today he gave a similar letter to the Election Officer.
This has been stated in the petition.
