However, nutritionist Eric Berg says that “daily cheese consumption has significant benefits, especially for people looking to add protein-rich, gut-friendly foods to their daily fare and stands firm in his assertion.

These cheeses generally provide a complete protein profile that includes all the essential amino acids needed for body functions.

The protein in goat and sheep cheese is easily absorbed and used by the body, making it a beneficial component of the daily diet for muscle repair and growth.

However, he stresses that people should not be swayed by social media. “While goat and sheep cheeses are included as part of a balanced diet, it is important to consume them in moderation given their high fat and sodium content.” He reminds us that.

 “A moderate daily intake of cheese can contribute to a balanced gut microbiome, provided the cheese is a source of probiotics. This may improve gastrointestinal health and improve nutrient absorption.

“Both goat and sheep cheese are rich in calcium, phosphorus and vitamins A and B2 (riboflavin). Sheep’s cheese generally contains higher amounts of these nutrients compared to goat’s cheese, and it is exceptionally beneficial for bone health compared to cow’s cheese.

Although cheese can be consumed daily in moderation, there are some drawbacks. Cheese, in any form, can be high in calories and saturated fat, which can lead to weight gain and an increased risk of heart disease if consumed in large amounts.

Suba also says that cheese is generally high in sodium, which can lead to high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems if consumed in excess.

Although low in lactose, daily consumption of goat and sheep cheese may still cause problems for those with dairy sensitivities or dairy-related acne or other inflammatory responses.
