Naam Tamilar Party chief coordinator Seeman has condemned the DMK government’s service quota for government doctors.
In a statement issued by him in this regard, the DMK government has strongly condemned the cancellation of service quota places for post-graduate studies of doctors working in Tamilnadu government hospitals. It is very painful that the DMK government is destroying the dream of higher education of the government doctors who are working day and night to protect the welfare of the poor people. The DMK government, which came to power with a promise during the elections to pay the government doctors due wages, has been deceiving their demands even after three years of assuming power.
Even after the High Court insisted on giving the government doctors an appropriate salary hike, and after various protests by medical professionals, the DMK government, which refuses to give them the appropriate salary, is now denying them the opportunity to pursue higher studies, which is a betrayal of the government doctors. It is tyranny for the government to create opportunities for higher education for the doctors working with dedication in all the rural areas of Tamilnadu with a spirit of service and understand and encourage them with all the help they need.
Such autocratic approach of the DMK government will cause great depression to the government doctors and will lead to a huge setback in the poor people of Tamil Nadu getting higher medical care. Therefore, on behalf of Naam Tamilar Party, I insist that the DMK government should immediately withdraw the decision to cancel the service quota for post-graduate studies of government doctors.
