Case against Dayanidhi Maran under Prevention of Atrocities Act

On DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran for making defamatory comments about Scheduled Caste people Chennai A case has been registered under the Prevention of Atrocities Act in the Central Crime Branch.

The DMK MPs met the then general secretary Shanmug and presented the petitions received under the DMU’s ‘Uniranayom Wa Scheme’ during the AIADMK rule in 2020.

Later, DR Balu, Tamilachi Thanga Pandian and Dayanidhi Maran met the press at the Secretariat in Chennai.

Speaking at that time, Dayanithi Maran said that Principal Secretary Shanmugam treated them like downtrodden people without due respect when they went to present a petition during the Corona period. His speech caused a lot of controversy.

Dayanidhi Maran MP expressed regret for speaking on the next day.

At that time Jaganathan, a resident of Coimbatore CMC Colony Variety Hall Road, filed a complaint against Dayanidhi Maran at the police station.

In it, he mentioned that “MP Dayanidhi Maran has insulted the downtrodden people and appropriate action should be taken against him”.
Following this, a case was registered against the Dayanidhi MP under the Prevention of Atrocities Against the Downtrodden Act.

As the place of investigation of the case is in Chennai, the case has recently been transferred to the Central Crime Branch, Chennai.

Following this, a case has been registered against Dayanithi Maran under the Prevention of Atrocities Against the Downtrodden Act. The police have started an investigation into the case.

It is said that Dayanidhi Maran will be called for questioning in this case soon.
