The Central Staff Selection Board (SSC) has released a notification to fill more than 17,000 Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ vacancies in Central Government Departments. Graduates avail this great opportunity.
SSC conducts examinations for vacant posts in central government departments and appoints eligible candidates. In that category, 17,727 posts are to be filled in the qualification for graduates. Eligible and interested candidates apply before 24.07.2024.

Educational Qualification : Must have passed Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Certain positions require additional qualifications.
Age Qualification : Candidates between 18 years to 30 years can apply for these posts on 01.08.2024. However, there is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST categories, 3 years for OBC categories and 10 years for differently abled persons.
Salary: Each post has a different pay scale.
Following are the details of salary system.
Pay Level-8 (₹ 47600 to ₹ 151100)
Pay Level-7 (₹ 44900 to 142400)
Pay Level-6 (₹ 35400 to ₹ 112400)
Pay Level-5 (₹ 29200 to 92300)
Pay Level-4 (₹ 25500 to 81100)
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected for these posts through computerized written test. The written exam will be conducted in two stages namely Prelims and Mains. Additional qualifying examination will also be conducted for some posts.
The preliminary examination will be held for 200 marks. A total of 100 questions will be asked in which 25 questions each will be asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension. Duration is 1 hour. Qualified candidates will be called for the main examination.
Mains exam will be held for 390 marks. 130 questions will be asked in Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning and General Intelligence section with 30 questions each, English Language and Comprehension section with 45 questions and General Awareness section with 25 questions. 20 questions will be asked in Computer Knowledge section. But this is only the qualifying section. After that there will be a typing test.
Syllabus
The General Knowledge section will include questions from the areas of India and its Neighboring Countries especially History, Culture, Geography, Economics, Public Policy & Scientific Research.
The English section contains questions to test the candidates’ basic English skills.
Maths section will have questions from areas like Numerology, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Interest Calculations, Average, Proportion etc.
In the comprehension section, questions will be asked from areas including numbers, pictures, directions, number sequence, cipher sequences.
