Chance of heavy rain in 6 districts in Tamil Nadu today…Meteorological Center in Chennai

The Chennai Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain in 6 districts including Erode and Salem today in Tamil Nadu.

In a press release issued by the Chennai Meteorological Department, it has been informed that there is a cyclonic circulation over the parts of Tamil Nadu and due to this heavy rain is likely to occur in Erode, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur and Tiruvannamalai districts today.

The Meteorological Department has said that 5 districts of Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Namakkal, Perambalur and Trichy are likely to experience very heavy rains, while Erode, Tirupur, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem, Tirupattur, Karur, Ariyalur, Pudukottai and Sivagangai are likely to experience heavy rains.

The Meteorological Department has said that on the 12th and 13th, the hilly areas of Coimbatore and Theni districts, Nilgiris and Dindigul districts will experience very heavy rains, and on the 14th, the hilly areas of Coimbatore and Theni districts, Nilgiris, Erode, Namakkal and Salem districts will experience very heavy rains.

Chennai and its suburbs are expected to have partly cloudy skies for the next 24 hours and moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few parts of the city.
