A few days ago, Citroen announced that it will release the price details of the Basalt Coupe SUV model today (August 7). In this case, the company has now postponed the release date to August 9.
Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV:
The Basalt will be the fourth model under Citroen’s C-Cubed program for India. Citron has developed this Basalt model based on the C3 Aircross SUV model that the company is already selling in India. It is noteworthy that the company has given some facilities in the new Basalt model which are not present in the current models.
Citron Basalt Engine:
In the new Basalt Coupe SUV model, Citroen has given a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out 82hp of power and 115Nm of torque, and another turbo petrol engine.
This turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 110hp power. Also, this turbo petrol engine produces 190Nm of torque in the 6-speed manual gearbox variant, while 205Nm in the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox variant.
Citron Basalt Mileage:
While launching this new coupe SUV model, the company also shared the mileage information.
Accordingly, the Basalt’s NA petrol engine returns a mileage of 18 kmpl. Likewise, Citroen claims a mileage of 19.5 kmpl for the manual gearbox and turbo petrol engine variant and 18.7 kmpl for the automatic gearbox and turbo petrol engine variant.
Citron Basalt Competitors and Price:
A direct competitor to the Tata Curve SUV coupe, which will be launched on September 2, the Basalt coupe SUV is expected to be launched at a starting price of between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 11 lakh.
