141A special team has been appointed to investigate the 4 Sri Lankans who were arrested on suspicion of being ISIS members at India’s Ahmedabad Airport, said Police Media Spokesperson and Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Nihal Talduwa.
He said that the Inspector General of Police Deshabandhu Thennakone has appointed a team led by the directors of the Criminal Investigation Department and Police Terrorism Investigation Units.
Indian media reported that these 4 Sri Lankans were arrested on the 20th and many informations were revealed during their interrogation.
Among the 4 arrested, the son of Nias Naubar, also known as Pota Naubar, who has been sentenced to death in the case of the assassination of Judge Sarath Ambepitiya, is also reported by the Indian media.
Four suspects were arrested by the Indian Intelligence Service
- 33-year-old Mohamed Nusrat from Periyamullai, Negombo
- 27-year-old Mohamed Nafran from Grand Bass, Colombo
- 35-year-old Mohamed Parrish from Malikawat, Colombo
- 43-year-old Mohamed Rashdeen from Colombo 13
