Prime Minister Modi said, ‘Thank you for the unshakable faith of the people in the Constitution and democracy of India’.
Prime Minister Modi addresses the nation on the last Sunday of every month through a radio program called ‘Mann Ki Baat’ (Voice of the Mind). Thus, after taking office as Prime Minister for the 3rd time, he spoke again today for the first time on the Manatin Voor program. Speaking in public, he said, “Today I have come back among you with the voice of my heart. I hope you are all well and everyone in your homes is healthy. Now the monsoon season has arrived and when the monsoon season comes, the mind also jumps in excitement.
Friends, I have missed this opportunity to talk to you every Sunday since last February. But seeing that all of you have sent me millions of messages over the past months makes me so happy. The radio program called Mindin Ghoar may have been suspended for a few months. But due to the feeling created in the voice of the mind, good works were carried out every day in the nation and in the society, works that were understood with a sense of selflessness, and works that could have a good creative impact on the society. Between election season news, your focus is definitely on action-related news.
I express my gratitude to our countrymen who have once again demonstrated their unwavering faith in our Constitution and the democratic institutions of the nation. The election of 2024 is the biggest election in the world. No country in the world has ever had such a big election. 65 crore people voted in this. I commend the Election Commission and all concerned with the voting system for this reason.
Today is the 30th of June which is very auspicious. Our tribal brothers and sisters celebrate this day as ‘Hool Day’. This day is associated with the incredible adventure of the warriors Sitho-Kanhu. They strongly resisted the atrocities of the foreign rulers. The soldiers, Sidho-Kanhu, united thousands of their Santali colleagues and waged a vigorous struggle against the British.
Do you know when this is? This happened in 1855. That is, 1857 was two years before the country’s first war of independence. At that time in Jharkhand’s Santal Pargana, our tribal brothers and sisters started an armed struggle against the foreign rulers. The British did many atrocities on our Santhali tribal brothers and sisters.
They also imposed various restrictions on them. Chitto and Kanhu, the warriors who displayed amazing valor in this struggle, became victims. The sacrifice of the Satputras, who created this epic story of Jharkhand, continues to inspire the nation even today,” he said.
