Similarly, there are also incidents of common people being bitten by dogs. Dog bites have become a major threat to the public.
In this case, Minister K.N. participated in the discussion on the subsidy request of the Municipal Administration Department in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Nehru said, “The problem of street dogs is coming up a lot. The problem comes due to two years of proper handling during the corona period.
There is constant emphasis on keeping pet dogs safe. 78 trained officers are working continuously. We have taken great care in this. The government will take on the task of controlling the breeding of dogs and protecting the people.
Similarly, a fine of Rs 5000 for the first time, Rs 10000 for the second time and confiscation and auction for the third time will be imposed. A law will be brought for that,” he said.
Minister K.N. Nehru announced that the number of wards in the Chennai Corporation would be increased.
