A coaching institute called “Ras IAS Study Circle” is functioning in Old Rajinder Nagar, Karol Park area of Delhi. It is an apartment building where hundreds of students are trained daily. Various facilities like classroom facilities, digital screens, libraries, reading rooms have been provided. This building has two lower floors namely Basement 1 and Basement 2.

The library is functioning in basement 2. While there are many training centers on that street, most of them have libraries on the ground floor. Because they say students can study quietly without any noise. Apart from that the rent on the upper floor is high. That is the lower rent on the ground floor. This is also a reason.
Heavy rain in Delhi
However, due to heavy rains in Delhi yesterday, the water has overflowed like a flood. Around 20 students were studying in the library on the ground floor of Ross IAS Study Circle building at that time. At that time, due to the heavy rain, the sewage drain in front of the building broke and the rainwater entered the building.

Although the building is slightly elevated from the road, due to the breach, flood water and sewage were entering. It has also gone into the library. Due to this, the brides and students there screamed. It seems that 17 people escaped with the help of students on the upper floor. Three could not get out.
Biometric Lock
As a result, they drowned and died miserably. Especially the doors in the basement are operated by biometrics. This locks the students and keeps them trapped. This incident has created shockwaves not only in Delhi but across the country. When it rains, water gets stagnant in Karol area of Delhi.
Incorrect Delhi Govt
They claim that despite complaining to the Delhi government several times, no action has been taken. The deceased included two female students and one male student. It is noteworthy that they are from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Kerala. Following the incident, police have arrested two Delhi IAS training center owner and coordinator.
