What is Pygmy?
PICME is a system used by Tamil Nadu government to monitor all pregnant women. It has been implemented since 2008 for joint monitoring and evaluation of pregnancy and children.
About 11 lakh mothers are registered on this website every year. Through this, mothers (RCH) are allotted a unique 12-digit identification number called RCH number. It is mandatory for mothers to obtain their child’s birth certificate.
A pregnant woman can join this scheme even after the first trimester of pregnancy and post delivery.

Through Pygmy, along with giving good health tips to pregnant women, Dr. Benefits can be availed under Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme. Under this scheme, the Government of Tamil Nadu provides financial assistance up to Rs.12000 in installments. By this, financial burden during pregnancy can be avoided.

- Now you will be given a 12 digit RCH ID.
- Use this to create a username and password for your account.
