Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar has resigned. He submitted his resignation letter to Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran through an assistant.
It is stated in the letter that he is resigning due to his ill health and is unable to continue as mayor.
In this situation, the commissioner also said that he has accepted the resignation letter. Meanwhile, Tirunelveli District DMK Mayor Saravanan has also resigned from his post. Other DMK councilors had already made various complaints against him.
Saravanan has resigned in this situation. Saravanan’s resignation has also been accepted, reports said.
