The mass death of 65 people after drinking poisonous alcohol mixed with methanol in Karunapuram area of Kallakurichi district last month shocked the whole country beyond Tamil Nadu. It has been reported that an old man named Jayaraman has died after drinking the fake liquor sold in Kumaramangalam area next to Thiruvenneynallur in Villupuram district and two more people are being treated at Mundiambakkam Government Medical College Hospital.
