It was expected that important officials in the Tamil Nadu government would be transferred after the Lok Sabha elections. In particular, it was said that the officers who are not performing properly will be transferred to dumpy positions and the officers who are performing well will be transferred to higher positions.
Moreover, as the request for grant in the Assembly has ended, 18 IAS officers who were holding various important responsibilities in the government sector have now been drastically changed.
Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Sivdas Meena has ordered the transfer of IAS officers. Accordingly, the details of the IAS officers who have been transferred are as follows:-
1. IAS Manivasan, who was Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Water Resources.
2. Chandramohan IAS, who was Principal Secretary, Public Works Department, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Tourism Department.
3. Mangat Ram Sharma, IAS, who was Additional Secretary, Animal Husbandry, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Public Works.
4. Senthil Kumar IAS, who was Principal Secretary, Rural Development Department, has now been appointed as Secretary, Environment Department.
5. Supriya Chagu, IAS, who was Secretary, Environment Department, has been transferred as Secretary, Department of Public Welfare and Medical Department.
6. Kagan Deep Singh Bedi, IAS, who was the Secretary of the Department of Public Welfare, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Rural Development.
7. Pradeep Yadav, who was the secretary of the highways department, has been transferred as the IAS secretary of the higher education department.
8. Selvaraj IAS, who was the Director of Tamil Nadu Road Safety Program, has been appointed as the Secretary, Highways Department.
9. John Lewis, IAS, former Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Government Cable Company, has been appointed as Director, Social Security Programme.
10. Vijayalakshmi IAS, who was the Secretary, Department of Housing and Urban Development, has been appointed as the Director, Department of Homeopathy, Indian Medicine.
11. Venkatachalam IAS who was Commissioner of Land Reforms Department has been appointed as Commissioner of Historical Research and Archives Department.
12. Hariharan IAS who was the Program Director of Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Board has been appointed as the Commissioner of Land Reforms Department.
13. Lilly IAS, who was Special Secretary, Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply Department, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Transport Department.
14. Sandeep Saxena, IAS, who was Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, has been appointed as Director, Paper Mills Management, Tamil Nadu.
15. Sai Kumar IAS who was the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Paper Mills has been appointed as the Managing Director of Industrial Investment Corporation.
16. IAS Maheswaran who was the Chairman of Foreign Employment Corporation has been appointed as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation.
17. Vaidyanathan IAS who was Director of Information and Public Relations has been appointed as Director of Government Cable TV Management.
18. Jawahar IAS, who was Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation Management and Modernization, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Social Reforms.
