MKStalin: Gukesh, a chess grandmaster from Tamil Nadu, has met and talked with the Chief Minister.
Young chess player Gukesh held on to win the Bite Chess Series held in Canada under critical conditions to win the championship.
He has brought pride to India and Tamil Nadu with this title of champion. With this victory, he qualified for the Chess World Cup Finals where he will face the reigning World Chess Champion, Chinese Grandmaster Ding Lirin.
The previous youngest age to qualify for a World Championship was 22-year-old Russian Grandmaster Garry Kasparov in 1984. Now after 40 years, Gukesh has broken this record at the age of 17 and has brought pride to Tamil Nadu.
Also, Gukesh has qualified for the finals of the Chess World Cup next to Vishwanath Anand, a Grandmaster from Tamil Nadu. As a result, the rain of congratulations kept pouring in for him. In this case, today, Gukesh met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K.Stalin.
