Heavy rain warning – Disaster management department has sent a warning letter to 26 district collectors.

Chennai: Due to the heavy rain warning, the Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed 26 District Collectors to keep all departments on alert.

Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Authority has sent a text message to the public to be safe as there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains with thunder, lightning and strong winds at one or two places in Tenkasi district in the next 24 hours.

As a heavy rain warning has been issued in various districts of Tamil Nadu till May-19, it has been ordered to take necessary measures to avoid damage and expedite essential operations immediately.
