The Southwest Monsoon which started in Kerala on May 30 is gradually spreading to different parts of the country. In that way, the southwest monsoon started in the capital Delhi last Friday morning. It has been whitewashed since its inception.
As a result, most of the capital city looks like a flooded forest. Houses in low-lying areas are flooded. So far 11 people have died due to continuous heavy rains. In this case, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned that heavy rain will continue in Delhi NCR today.
And the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the next four days. The India Meteorological Department also said that the region will experience heavy rain with thundershowers and moderate rain with gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph.
Similarly, the Delhi Meteorological Center has also warned that the capital will receive heavy rain today. And Web Orange has issued a warning from today on July 3. The Delhi Regional Meteorological Department has said that the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees Celsius today and will drop to 29 degrees Celsius on July 2 and 3.
From July 3rd to 5th, the sky is forecast to be cloudy with moderate rain and thundershowers. Delhi receives an average of 650 mm of rainfall during the southwest monsoon.
Notably, capital Delhi received one-third of its total monsoon rainfall on Friday, the first day of heavy rains this season.
