Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has announced Group 2, 2A Examination to fill the vacancies in Ministry, Boards, Forest Service and Public Sector Undertakings. A total of 2327 posts are to be filled. In this 507 posts with interview and 1820 posts without interview are to be filled. You can apply online for this exam till 19.07.2024.

Age limit; Should be between 18 years to 32 years as on 01.07.2024. There is relaxation in age limit as per Tamil Nadu Government rules. Age limit varies for some jobs.
Selection Process: Recruitment for Group 2 Posts will be done on the basis of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview. Recruitment for Group 2A posts will be done on the basis of preliminary examination and mains examination. The preliminary examination will be conducted simultaneously for both the posts.
Prelims exam is only qualifying exam for mains exam.
The preliminary examination will be conducted in three parts. The first part will have 75 questions on general knowledge and the second part will have 25 questions on disability. Part III will consist of 100 questions from either Tamil or English subject. The exam will be held for a total of 300 marks. The exam will be held for 3 hours. Exam Date: 14.09.2024
Main Examination for Group 2 Posts
It will be done in two parts. The first part is Tamil Language Aptitude Test. It will be conducted in lecture format for 100 marks for 3 hours. Paper II is General Knowledge. It will be conducted in lecture format for 3 hours for 300 marks. The marks obtained in the general knowledge section will be considered for the final examination.
Main Examination for Group 2A Posts
It will be held in two papers. First Paper is Tamil Language Aptitude Test. It will be conducted in lecture format for 100 marks for 3 hours. Paper II will have 100 questions on General Knowledge, 40 questions on Aptitude and 60 questions on Tamil or English subject for 200 questions. 3 hours for 300 marks will be conducted in principle.
Application Fee : Rs. 150, however existing permanent registration holders need not pay the fee.
Exam Fee: Rs. 100, however categories including SC, SC(A), ST and widows are exempted from payment of fee.

Candidates who want to apply should visit www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.in website to apply.
Those who already have permanent registration can apply through it. Permanent registration holders need not pay application fee.
Applicants for these posts should keep their photograph and signature in the size and format notified by the commission.
Also, they should apply with their educational and other certificates in hand. You have to enter all your details correctly and pay the application fee and submit. The submitted application should be downloaded and saved.
