6 people, including a Congress leader, were arrested in the case of the murder of the leader of the Hindu Renaissance Progress Front in Poontamalli. It has been revealed that he took revenge for abducting the wife of a Congress leader.
Rajaji hailed from Mangadu and was the state leader of the Hindu Renaissance Progress Front. Yesterday evening while he was sitting and drinking tea at the tea shop next to Poontamalli, a mysterious person dressed in lungi and banyan shot and killed Rajaji and fled from there.
Regarding this incident, the Poontamalli police rushed to the spot and recovered Rajaji’s dead body and sent it to Kilpakkam Government Hospital for post-mortem and are investigating the person recorded in the surveillance camera footage.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Krishnakumar from Kattupakkam was involved in the murder. Subsequently, the police arrested Krishna Kumar, who was absconding. And Gopal, who is a suspect in this murder, belongs to Poontamalli and is the deputy president of Tiruvallur South district in the Congress party. Also, the police have arrested six people including Sampath, Santosh and Rajesh and are investigating.
According to the police, Gopal’s wife Gauri has been living with Rajaji for the past few years and has been posting photos of them together on his social media pages as his wife.
Also, when Gauri died in a road accident a few months ago, Rajaji posted videos on social media pages with posters of Gauri as his wife and an educational foundation started in her name in Poontamalli and surrounding areas.
This made Gopal very angry. Apart from that, half of Gopal’s earned property is in Gauri’s name, so it is said that the issue related to that property has been brewing between Rajaji and Gopal for the past few weeks.
Meanwhile, Rajaji’s younger brother Kannan was driving an auto while Krishnakumar was drinking alcohol along with him, and Kannan’s leg was broken when he picked up a stone and dropped it on his leg during an argument between the two. When Krishnakumar was in hiding, Gopal broke his leg and Rajaji and Kannan together killed Krishnakumar. Gopal is said to have said, ‘You overtake me and I will see to it.’
The main reason for this is said to be Rajaji’s usurpation of his wife and his attempt to usurp the property in her name. After this, it was revealed that Krishnakumar, enraged yesterday, entered the shop and killed Rajaji, who was sitting and drinking tea in the shop.
