The Hyundai ioniq 5 has won the Best Electric Car Award in India this year. Hyundai has won this award after facing competitors like BMW i7, MG Comet, BYD Atto 3, Citroen eC3, Mahindra XUV 400, Mercedes Benz EQE SUV, Volvo C40 Recharge. Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been chosen as the best electric car in a poll in which a total of 18 journalists participated.
Both the Exter and Ioniq 5 cars introduced by Hyundai this year have been well received by the people. 1 lakh units of Exter have been booked. As for the Ioniq 5, 1100 units have been sold so far.
The price of the cars that participated in this competition starts from 10 lakh rupees to 2 crore rupees. The choice is now made as to which electric car is the best value among these. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 starts at Rs 45.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
The car is powered by a 217 BHP electric motor that accelerates to 100KMPH in 7.6 seconds. It also has a 72.6 KWH battery pack. If it is fully charged once, it can travel a distance of 631 kilometers.
