It has been revealed that a total of 25,888 students from polytechnic colleges across Tamil Nadu have got jobs in various fields as on June 18, 2024, through the Nan Muluvan scheme of the state government.
Under this scheme, the government helps students from polytechnic colleges to get lucrative jobs in domestic and multinational companies. So far 252 colleges have participated in the placement drive. Officials said placements are still ongoing and about 58,000 students are in the final year of their studies.
According to The Hindu English newspaper, they have got jobs in various sectors including agriculture, apparel, automotive, beauty and health, construction, electronics, food preparation, jewellery, green employment, construction, iron and steel, IT technology, leather, goods, media, telecommunication. reported.
And out of this 18250 people have annual salary between Rs.2 lakhs, 7259 people have salary of Rs.2-3 lakhs, 88 people have salary of Rs.2-4 lakhs, 229 people have salary of Rs.3-4 lakhs and 42 people have salary of Rs.4-5 lakhs. It is reported that 8 people have joined the service with a salary of Rs.5-6 lakhs and 12 people have joined the service with a salary of Rs.6-8 lakhs. It has been reported that 25 thousand polytechnic students have got job opportunities under Nan Muthuvan scheme.
